FAQs

Will classes be recorded and offered at a later date?

As of now, we are not offering recordings of classes. This is an in-person course and will require a personal commitment to be a part of it with others.

Am I required to attend every class?

While attendance is not mandatory, we highly encourage you to make each class a priority as the content is specifically designed to be best learned in a four-week period. However, it is mandatory for all our D-Group leaders to attend all 4 sessions.

Do I have to pay to attend CORE?

As of now, CORE is free for all our church members at VIVE.

What is the workload like for CORE classes?

We believe that Scripture calls men and women to become mature in Jesus. Therefore, in these CORE classes, you will be asked to work towards that deepened maturity through reading and reflecting on your own, as well as practically applying what you learn which reinforces the subject matter of the class. These courses are designed for post-high school and up! We will be working on CORE Students and CORE Kids in the future.

How can I become a Discipleship Group Leader?

We have more information under the D-Groups section on our website. We have a discipleship pathway, and anyone interested in leading others in discipleship at VIVE must be consistent on Sundays, actively serve on a team, be part of the life of our church, understand our core values and theological beliefs, complete these 4 weeks of CORE, and be aligned with our theological positions and the values that we are anchored to.

What can I expect in each class?

This will be an exciting classroom-like feel with round tables and lots of note-taking. Each week, we will provide a packet for the content we are covering that you can take home to study on your own. If there is time afterward, we want people to engage in discussions about the session topic and will help facilitate questions and group conversations.
